Following on from the outstanding success of last year’s small business advisory service Business Port Stephens in partnership with the Hunter Business Centre is proud to deliver the program again in 2010.

The service provides Port Stephens business owners with free-of-charge access to a small business adviser in Raymond Terrace one day per week during 2010.

Speaking today, Economic Development Manager Lesley Morris said the business advisory service provides a great opportunity for small businesses to grow in the region.

“It provides both new and existing business owners a chance to clearly assess how they are performing and to look at realistic opportunities to strengthen their structure and market potential,” she said.

“Since April 2009, more than 100 local business owners have taken advantage of the service,” Ms Morris said.

“Feedback has indicated clients feel improved motivation and confidence as well as gaining clarity on the direction of their business.”

As part of the program workshops and business development programs are also conducted allowing participating businesses to explore different strategies and improve the effectiveness of their business operations.

The project is being delivered by the Hunter Business Centrethrough funding provided by Industry & Investment NSW and is assisted and supported by Business Port Stephens.
