Tomaree TAFE Campus offers courses in Access and General Education, Information & Communication Technology, Primary Industries, Construction & Environment and Transport & Maritime Studies.
 
The University of Newcastle is only a 30 minute drive from Raymond Terrace and is one of Australia’s leading universities, with five faculties and over 20,000 students. It is renowned for its medical, engineering and architecture faculties. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Business and Law, Education and Arts, Engineering and Built Environment, Health, Science and Information Technology.  
 
TAFE NSW services in Port Stephens are administered by the Hunter Institute of Technology, which offers over 500 courses throughout the region with an annual enrolment totalling 50,000.
